Aggie Summer

This summer I embarked on one of the biggest journeys of my life as I left Keller, Texas for my new place of residence, College Station. For those of you who know me, it is no surprise that I refuse to refer to College Station as my "home", and that I refer to it instead as my "new place of residence." Yes, I am resisting the changes here just as stubbornly as I have resisted the rest of the changes my life has encountered, and I think that I am okay with that. I have never found myself to be very lucky- blessed beyond measure, but not lucky- however, I feel that the one ounce of luck that I did somehow end up with is the way that I see the world and the people and things around me. I find that my life has always been and continues to be full of serendipity, something that I will eternally be grateful for. I see things that others don't, hear things that are not audible, and find the most simple of things to be the most brilliant. My life has been full of laughter, happiness and discovery, thanks to my family, friends, and my good friend Serendipity. This blog is a collection of stories from my new beginning in College Station, made so that my family and friends may feel as if they are experiencing these new things with me from afar in Keller, Stillwater, Fayetteville, Nacogdoches, or wherever they may be.

  1. You have always had a gifted way with words. You can turn a phrase with the best of them. Your opening blog story is no exception. You always make me smile and reflect on how much richer my life is with you in it.
I can hardly wait to hear more about time spent in your "new place of residence". It will be like a book you just can't put down.
    Love you Bunches,

  2. So good, Chan! I am officially following you! I also wanted to tell you that I was going through all my old cards and notes today and found the letter you wrote me from when I graduated high school. Gave me goosebumps and made me cry! Love you so much!
